I haven't gotten around to finishing the unpicking of several stitches (grr!) on the Sweet Pea quilt but I really want to get it all quilted by this Sunday.
I cut up 112 4.5" x 2.5" rectangles for the Bust Yo Scraps QAL last night. I am going with Punctuation, because a friend of mine said it'd look "quirker" with the 448 2.5" squares that I cut the other day.
For the Scrap Attack QAL, last night I decided to test a block using halved charms (4.5" by 2.5") and one solid charm pack (in this case, Bella solids in white) and here are my results:
I absolutely love it! I've decided to call the block "Square Dance" because of the steps they use in square dancing, and it's similar to the formation of this block. It is definitely pre-cut friendly.
I could write up a tutorial, if you want. Just let me know. I am making a lap size with this block, so there will be 42 blocks, 252 half rectangles (3 charm packs), and one solid charm pack. I haven't decided if I should add white sashing in between blocks or rows. ETA: 11/15/12 update on this block! ...let's go square dancing.
Technically, I know the charms I have aren't scraps, BUT they have been sitting on my table for too long.
More updates later this week :)

The block is super cute! I can't wait to see how this one turns out. Great work.
