Hurray! My very first quilt pattern I came up with on my own (hopefully!), and I completed this cute mini quilt today.
The block is called Square Dance, so this quilt has been aptly named, "Let's Go Square Dancing!"
be warned: photobomb.
I am extremely pleased with how it turned out, and it was so much fun putting this together, as well as experimenting with the crazy scribbling/quilting going on. It gives the quilt a nice texture and look!
This is for the Scrap Attack QAL; at first I had originally decided to make it into a lap size, but then changed my mind and turned it into a mini quilt. I actually like the way it looks in this size.
I am not sure if it will be used, but I think it deserves to be hung up on my design wall just by my stairs.
I sewed 1/4 all the way around inside the white squares, and just went crazy on the quilting all around them. The backing came from a HUGE scrap of vintage bed linen I had hidden in my fabric stash. It compliments the colors in the quilt, I think.
Again, if you readers want a tutorial - just let me know in the comments! I do know the measurements for a lap size quilt though so that can be included in the tutorial.
I used Punctuation by American Jane, and Kona White. (This quilt is pre-cut friendly, aside from the cheater binding/backing.)

this is so cute...i love those fabrics
